By installing and using CoRemote ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Extension.

CoRemote is a VS Code extension that enables inline code discussions and collaboration through deep links. The Extension uses Git configuration for user identification and allows users to create and share discussion links related to specific code locations.

3. User Registration and Identity

When you use the Extension, we collect the following information:

  • The Extension uses your Git configuration (name and email) for user identification.
  • You represent and warrant that your Git configuration information is accurate.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your Git configuration.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Extension to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights
  • Share confidential information without authorization
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Distribute malware or harmful code
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Extension

5. Intellectual Property

  • The Extension and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CoRemote and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
  • Users retain all rights to their code and comments shared through the Extension.

6. User Content

  • You are solely responsible for any content you share through the Extension.
  • You warrant that you have the necessary rights to share any content through the Extension.
  • You grant CoRemote a license to store and process your comments as necessary to provide the service.

7. Data Security

  • All comments and deep links are encrypted.
  • While we implement security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your shared links.

8. Limitations of Liability

  • The Extension is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • CoRemote shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • CoRemote is not responsible for any code changes or decisions made based on discussions within the Extension.

9. Third-Party Services

The Extension may integrate with third-party services. Use of such services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.

10. Modifications to Service

  • CoRemote reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Extension at any time.
  • We will attempt to provide reasonable notice of any major changes.

  • Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.

12. Termination

  • CoRemote may terminate or suspend access to the Extension immediately for violations of these terms.
  • Users may terminate their use of the Extension at any time by uninstalling it.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Estonia.
